As we continue our journey through this Second Week of Advent, I write to you with an urgent request for help in one of our parish’s important ministries. Our Christmas Shop is already open, and we are also in great need of volunteers in the main area of our Thrift Shop so that both spaces can remain open and continue serving our community.
I am grateful to share that 100% of the profit from our Christmas Shop goes directly to the Catholic Charities Family Stability Program, which assists families working hard to stay in their homes by helping with rent, utilities, and other essential needs. Your service will directly bless families facing real hardship — families you may never meet, yet families Christ calls us to love.
We especially need volunteers who have already completed Safe Environment training and a background check, as you are able to begin helping right away. For those who have not yet completed this requirement, we encourage you to start the process so you can join our volunteer team as soon as possible.
We are seeking volunteers for the following areas:
- Working at the cash register
- Assisting customers in the Christmas Shop
- Being a welcoming presence to ensure we can keep the Christmas Shop open
- Helping in the main area of the Thrift Shop with customer assistance and general support
Training will be provided for all roles.
We need your help beginning today.
If you are able to volunteer, please

I ask you as your pastor to prayerfully consider offering your time to this effort. By volunteering, you will be giving one of the greatest Christmas gifts — the gift of hope — to families in great need. This is a beautiful way to live out the Gospel message during this holy season.
Thank you for your generosity. May God bless you and your loved ones abundantly.
Together may we always walk in the Light of Christ.
